Be Well Protein Hot Chocolate

If you find yourself opening the pantry after dinner and it’s something you can’t kick (thanks 2020), I would suggest replacing that habit with something that slows you down.

There are so many healthy alternatives...meditation, a bath, foam rolling or you might have been told to drink tea. These are all easy when your in the groove but hard when you're not. Don’t get me wrong, I love tea, but I don’t crave tea. I crave chocolate and much like my freezer fudge, this protein and collagen rich hot chocolate does it for me!

  • Tastes delicious
  • Only 2 ingredients: protein + nut milk
  • Serves up 24 grams of protein and ~16 grams of naturally occurring collagen
  • Takes a *hot* minute to drink, so that means you can cozy up with it on the couch and take some time for yourself
  • Bonus, if you have little restraint around my freezer fudge, this recipe can be made one serving at a time!

Directions

  1. In a medium pot, bring 4 cups of nut milk to a boil, then reduce to a simmer before transferring to a blender with a vented lid to allow the steam to escape.
  2. Add 2 scoops of protein to the blender and blend on high for 10-20 seconds or until frothy and well combined.
  3. Pour into two mugs and sprinkle with cinnamon. Enjoy!

Tip: Stir in 1/2 a packet of Chocolate LMNT for double the chocolate flavor and an extra boost of hydration!
